I went into town and visited the O2 and Orange shops to look at contract phones, and came to the conclusion that a contract phone isn't worth it for my uses (I spend GBP20 - GBP30 a month on texts alone, and use my phone for maybe 5 minutes for calls). However, I gather Orange do some text bundle things, so I might just go for that and use my current phone. I just want to be able to do MMS and WAP, damnit.
I also went to Lloyds TSB to open a current account but there wasn't anyone available to see me, so I need to try again next weekend.
And, I went and got a new MP3 player from PC World - A 2GB Logik for GBP35, which is pretty good, so I'm filling it up with MP3s just now. Although it seems to object to me trying to put more than 184 MP3s in the root of it ("The file or directory could not be created"), so I hope it can cope ok with miltiple directories...
EDIT: Ok, for some reason I just can't have > 184 files in the root directory. Stuffing everything into a "MP3s" folder causes it to work fine. How rare.
I've also just finished rebuilding my bed. I knelt on it a couple of days ago to lean over and close my curtains, and went straight through it. That's the second slat that's broken., the first one broke the day I got the sodding thing.
So I replaced the two slats (The old one was a bit craply hacked together), and laid a couple of bits of MDF on top of them to redistribute the weight slightly better. That aught to help a fair bit...
Anyway, there's my recommendation
