At 7:30, I decided I'd had enough waiting for my friend to text me, after she hung up on me when I phoned her, and ignored my text messages (Ok, she replied to them but didn't answer the question: "When do you want me to come and pick you up"). So I went to see Pride & Prejudice with another friend, after sending a text message saying "Is tonight no longer on then? I'd appreciate it if you could give me some sort of idea about what's happening instead of ignoring the question for 4 hours". The film was alright I suppose, better than I expected it to be.
So when I got out, I found a text from the silent friend basically telling me to stop having a go at her because she was out with a friend and alread had plans.
So, lets recap:
10:30: I get phoned up, asking to meet me in an hour.
11:50: I get a text message saying "Running a bit late".
13:30: I'm freezing cold and fed up, so I go home.
14:00: I see her on MSN and say I can pick her up any time from 16:00: She says "that would be cool. got to meet my first boyfriend for lunch though" and we agree that she'll call/text me when she's ready.
18:30: I call and text her, asking again when she wants to meet up. She replies to the text, saying she's out with another friend. She responds to the phonecall by hanging up after 2 rings.
20:30: I was in the cinema, so my phone was off, but the time on the text was 20:30. I get a text telling me to stop having a go at her
Let's summarise:
10:30: "Meet me"
3 and a half hours later: "Meet me later"
6 and a half hours later: "Oh, I was out with a friend and didn't tell you. Stop having a go at me".
GRAWR. If she'd just said that she was going to meet her other friend after going for lunch some time around 2, I wouldn't be sitting around at home pestering her and waiting for her to call, and getting pissed off. Believe it or not, I do have some things that I can be doing.
Sorry, I'm ranting. I know this isn't Live Journal, I'm just pissed off. And my dad has just informed me that apparently I have to get up at 7:30am tomorrow because telewest are coming to install digital sometime between 8am and 4pm. So I have another fucking day sitting around waiting for someone to arrive. Great.
I just started Freshers' Week, I'm not enjoying it very much to be truthful. And lectures haven't even started yet, so it can only get worse. To put the icing on the cake, the cookers in our hall broke down, so we're on crap food until Wednesday at the earliest. And nobody wants to speak to me. Same as always.
So yeah, looks like you're not the only one having a pish time.
On the upside, when I got my digital put in 5 years ago (you haven't got it yet [oh]), Telewest were on time. And they clean up after themselves.
