Nearly done
Published October 21, 2005
I've got some more content on my new site now. Image of the day is up completely, downloads are logged, and I have contact, CV and site stats pages (Just simple stuff). The image of the day page works by providing an upload form for users to provide an image, name, e-mail address and comments. The administrator should log in to the admin section every day or so, and have a look at the submissions, which can then be accepted or rejected. Only 2 requests from one IP can be pending at once, only 100 requests total can be allowed, and the uploaded file must be < 1MB. That should stop people spamming with images and causing database chaos.
The downloads are logged; filename, downloads, last download time and total data transferred.
Still on my todo list:
Articles page
Downloads page
Projects page
E-mail alerts for accept/reject of an IOTD
E-mail alerts to the admin when an IOTD is submitted
And then I can make it live. Hooray!
