He's still using it. Now i'm confused by topic title too, but guess it's mainly about how to do the accumulation, which the copy can not do.

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone. I still rely on glCopyImageSubData. I just replaced a simple copy with addition, which at the end, still requires a copy from texture to texture. Sorry to confuse.
